Une cache « drive-in » pour une belle chute d’eau.
Pour la voir, avec le Pont d’Auriac et l’oratoire Notre Dame en toile de fond, garez vous au parking des Paous : tournez à droite avant le pont de Lajous.
Descendez ensuite vers le moulin, que vous pourrez voir à votre droite quand vous serez arrivé au bord de l’Arize.
Il existe deux moulins à Rieux. Celui-ci est le plus ancien.
Au XIIe siècle, il appartenait au prieuré. Les consuls furent ensuite propriétaires de la moitié du moulin avec le chapitre de la Cathédrale.
En cas de danger, les moulins de Rieux participaient à la défense de la cité.
Entièrement reconstruit au XIXe siècle et restauré au XXe siècle, il ne fonctionne plus.

A drive-by cache for a beautiful waterfall.
To see it, with Auriac bridge and Notre Dame oratory in the background, park in the Paous: turn right before Lajous bridge. Then, walk down to the watermill, you will see it on your right when you reach the bank of the Arize.
There are two mills in Rieux: this one is the older.
In the twelfth century, it belonged to the priory. Later, the consuls became the owners of half the mill with the Cathedral chapter.
In case of danger, Rieux mills participated in the defense of the city.
Completely rebuilt in the nineteenth century and restored in the twentieth century, it stopped working long ago.
